  • After receiving the boon, Bhasmasur tried to test it on Lord Shiva himself.
  • Lord Shiva fled to Shrikhand Mahadev to escape from Bhasmasur’s pursuit.
  • Lord Vishnu, disguised as the beautiful Mohini, tricked Bhasmasur into placing his hand on his own head, thereby turning himself into ashes.
  • After this event, Lord Shiva meditated at Shrikhand Mahadev, making it a sacred site for spiritual awakening.

Day 01: Chandigarh to Jaon

Route: Jaon (6,500 ft) → Singhad (7,000 ft) → Barhati Nala → Danda Dhaar → Thachru (11,000 ft)

 

Route Details:

  • Jaon to Singhad: 3 km (gentle climb) – Register at the Singhad check post and collect permits.
  • Singhad to Barhati Nala: 2 km (steep incline) – Trail passes through dense forest and rocky terrain.
  • Barhati Nala to Danda Dhaar: 5 km – Very steep ascent; careful footing required due to loose rocks.
  • Danda Dhaar to Thachru: 5 km – Sharp climb with cold winds; campsite at Thachru.

Day 03: Thachru to Bhim Dwar 
Duration: 6-8 hours | Trek Distance: 12km | Trek Altitude: 13,500 ft

 

Route: Thachru → Kali Ghati (12,500 ft) → Bhim Talai → Kunsa → Bhim Dwar (13,500 ft)

 

Route Details:

  • Thachru to Kali Ghati: 2 km – Steep zigzag trail; panoramic view of surrounding peaks.
  • Kali Ghati to Bhim Talai: 2 km – Gradual descent; meadow with water sources.
  • Bhim Talai to Kunsa: 3 km – Rocky path with a mild incline; small streams on the way.
  • Kunsa to Bhim Dwar: 5 km – Open meadows, waterfalls, and boulder crossing.

Day 04: Bhim Dwar to Shrikhand Mahadev & Back

Route: Bhim Dwar → Parvati Bagh (14,000 ft) → Nain Sarovar (15,000 ft) → Summit → Return

 

Route Details:

  • Bhim Dwar to Parvati Bagh: 3 km – Steep climb over rocky and narrow paths.
  • Parvati Bagh to Nain Sarovar: 3 km – Glacier walk; sacred lake with icy waters.
  • Nain Sarovar to Summit: 3 km – Final ascent over snow, boulders, and rocky ridges.
  • Shrikhand Mahadev Summit: 18,570 ft – Darshan of the Shivling; breathtaking view of the Himalayas.
  • Return: Same route – Challenging descent; requires focus and stamin

Route: Bhim Dwar → Kunsa → Bhim Talai → Kali Ghati 

 

Route Details:

  • Bhim Dwar to Kunsa: 5 km – Gradual descent over meadows and rocks.
  • Kunsa to Bhim Talai: 3 km – Cross small streams and slippery boulders.
  • Bhim Talai to Kali Ghati: 2 km – Steep climb back to Kali Ghati.
  • Kali Ghati to Thachru: 2 km – Narrow and rocky descent.

  • Watch out for falling rocks near Kunsa.

  • Camp overnight at Kali Top
 

Day 06: Kali Top  to Jaon

Duration: 6-7 hours | Distance: 9 km | Trek Altitude: 6,800 ft

 

Route: Kali Top - Thachru → Danda Dhaar → Singhad → Jaon

Route Details:

  • Thachru to Danda Dhaar: 5 km – Sharp descent; needs careful footing.
  • Danda Dhaar to Singhad: 5 km – Forest trail with shaded paths.
  • Singhad to Jaon: 5 km – Final stretch; easy path through villages.

 

Highlights:

  • View of the valley from Danda Dhaar.
  • Reached Jaon village then trevel to Baga Sarahan.
  • Celebration at Baga Sarahan Village Swastik Paradise(Naksh Country Side huts)

 

Day 07: Jaon To Chandigarah

 

  • After breakfast, begin your drive back from Jaon to Rampur
  • Catch your bus or train afterward, and bid farewell, cherishing the wonderful memories of your trek.
