Importants points

Important Points:

  • Nagaland is not a regular tourist place. So, you may not find all the facilities you are otherwise used to.
  • There may be occasional power cuts, so keep your power banks handy and your gadgets fully charged.
  • Many hotels / homestays have very minimum options for breakfast. Bread and egg / omelet are the most common breakfast options available.
  • If you are a vegetarian, the food options are limited (but will be available everywhere, just let us know and we will arrange).
  • Prepare yourself for having rice, roti, dal for majority of the tour!

Dzukou Valley:

  • There is no power at Dzukou Valley. Please carry a power bank if you want to charge your gadgets.
  • There is no mobile signal at Dzukou Valley. Please inform your loved ones that you will be lost to explore the beauty of the valley for a day.
  • Food options at Dzukou Valley are limited. Basic food (rice, dal, Maggi, and basic non-veg items) only would be available.
  • Only shared washrooms are available at Dzukou Valley (Indian Toilets).
  • There will be no tap water, but visitors can carry water from the tank nearby on their own.

Fun Stuff:

  • When in Nagaland, try the King Chilly or Ghost Pepper or Bhut Jolokia. Known by many names but is popular because of its spice level. It was labelled as the spiciest chilly in the world by Guinness Book of World Records in 2007 but was later superseded by two other varieties. Don’t try eating it raw! Believe us, just don’t
  • When talking to the locals, ask about their favourite food. Be amazed by the variety of meat they eat!
